Don’t miss this amazing class. As parents-to-be we often research our car seat and crib, but forget about preparing ourselves and our partners for this new phase of life.
(Mommy and Me Class) “Nurturing the New You - Part III”
- Postnatal 8 week series
The baby is here!! Come join other mothers and their pre-crawling infants
in a supportive meditation/discussion/support group aimed at reducing
stress, securing self-confidence, and strengthening your emotional connection
to your infant and partner. Transitioning into Motherhood is a time
of tremendous transformation and being mindful and present to these
changes can make the transition a more memorable experience. Many of
us become concerned with our expectations of what motherhood will be
like or what we think it should be like. More often than not our experience
turns out to conflict with these expectations. Learning to bring mindful
intention to what is rather than what should be can make the experience
of parenting more pleasurable and rewarding. It can enhance our sense
of contentment, reduce our stress, and increase our ability to respond
optimally to our infant’s needs, improving infant-parent attachment.
Duration: two hours.

needs of their everyday life during a time of constant change. Moms
learn stress reduction techniques that benefit the entire family. This
group creates a welcoming space for moms to speak openly and honestly
about the complexities of motherhood. - Eight week series
Practically everything that we own comes with instructions. And most
of them require scheduled tune-ups (for example, cars, bicycles, computers,
etc.). However, we usually forget to include ourselves and our significant
others. Recharging your relationship with your significant other can
assist you in staying connected with your partner, improve communication,
strengthen partner friendship, and increase intimacy. In life we are
constantly transitioning and evolving as human beings. In this class
increase your ability to be mindful of each other and not only listen
but hear each others needs. Did you know that most couples experiences
a substantial decrease in relationship satisfaction in the first year
following the birth of their baby? Tune-up your relationship and be
ready to embrace your new family.
Infant Massage is an ancient tradition of providing nurturing touch through a series of massage techniques as a way of communicating and bonding with your baby. The goal of a CIMT (Certified Infant Massage Teacher) is to teach simple and effective techniques to parents, family members and caregivers through a variety of specialized massage techniques. All babies benefit from infant massage, because it can promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. It has many benefits, which are listed below but the one that we emphasize is that it helps foster mutual trust and understanding between caregiver and baby. As specialist in human behavior trust is the foundation for building and maintaining relationships later in their adult life. For infants trust can be demonstrated through eye contact, talking, communicating and engaging through touch. You will also learn to understand your infant’s cues which will assist in helping meet their needs.
Another huge benefit of infant massage is that you get to meet other mothers with their infants. We both attended an Infant Massage Classes when our children were infants and we still have lasting relationships with some of those mothers and their children. Infant massage classes are taught in groups and one-on-one. Come be a part of this great experience.
